Mac Burns
Mac Burns is from Georgia and attended the university of Georgia where he studied Spanish and fine arts. he got into clay in high school, and after a four year gap reinvested himself in pottery for his last two years of college. Mac works primarily with functional pottery, and is interested in the ways craft art can add beauty to daily routine. Mac has been greatly influenced by the southern pottery tradition, and his interests in working in more traditional ways through local clay use and woodfiring have brought him to Cub Creek, where he has focused on involvement with every step of the process from wild clay to a finished pot. Outside of ceramics Mac works on a local organic farm, and loves backpacking, reading, and photography.
